While some people’s fate is predetermined by a family business or a traditional obligation, Bonnie Spindler’s forte was formed organically, through life experience. At an early age, Bonnie was taken to open houses, considered “fixers” with her parents and attended boat, motor home and antique shows. Therefore, not surprisingly, her past careers include antique sales, advertising and interior design, all of which work wonderfully in real estate.
At 23, she purchased her first real estate investment. A fixer for which she rolled up her sleeves and learned firsthand how to renovate an old house. Since then, Spindler began “fixing and flipping” her personal residences and investment properties.
A close friend prompted Bonnie to become a real estate agent and the rest is history. For almost 20 years, “Bonnie Spindler” has been a recognized name in San Francisco real estate. Spindler has seen the full range of real estate markets: from post-quake economic downturn with six-month-sale-cycles to the dot com explosion with eight-day-sale-cycles. Ms. Spindler’s passion is the superior design, decoration, and construction of pre-1926 architecture. She markets herself as the “Victorian Specialist.” Ms. Spindler lives in an 1893 Victorian, originally built by Isadore Zellerbach. This experience allows her to convey to her clients, her intimate knowledge, the joys and frustrations of owning a Victorian-era building. While Victorians are her preferred architectural period, Spindler sells everything from Gothic to modern, new construction condos to TICs, as well as commercial properties and business opportunities. “No deal is too small or too big,” says Spindler. “Today’s $350,000 buyer, is tomorrow’s $3,000,000 investor.”
Earning the titles of Top Producer, Company Top Producer and Zephyr’s All-Time Top Residential Sales Agent, and becoming the City’s fifth largest selling residential agent in 2006, has given Spindler a notable place in the San Francisco Real Estate community.
