Estate broker showing married couple the view from the apartment window

We want the process of showing your house to be as productive as possible. We do this by helping you attract the highest number of buyers. Your home and everything inside of it should be clean, free of clutter, and welcoming. Everything from the plants in your front yard, to the placement of the couch in your family room matters to potential buyers. People will take notice when you put effort into preparing your home for a showing.

With expert design and architectural knowledge, we know what makes buyers reach for their checkbooks. In coordination with professional stagers, we’ll get every room in your house looking picturesque and appealing. It is important to find the right balance between style and function when staging furniture, decor, and even appliances or paint. In most cases, we will use a combination of your belongings and rented pieces to bring the right feel and flow throughout your home.

Especially when it comes to Victorian and luxury homes, the furniture and decorations should match the architecture and design of the house itself. With the help and guidance of San Francisco’s Victorian Specialist, your house will be ready for showings in no time!

On the day of your home’s showing, here are a few things to keep in mind:

Before The Showing

  • Open curtains/blinds and turn on lights—a well-lit home is always more welcoming
  • Make beds, tidy up rooms, and put away children’s toys
  • Clean and put away any dishes in the kitchen
  • Put tags on any items that are not included in the sale (this includes anything you plan to keep, such as a washer/dryer, or anything with a lease, such as an alarm system)
  • Light a fire in the fireplace if it is fall or winter

During The Showing

  • Trust your real estate expert to show your house and answer all questions on your behalf
  • Leave the property or stay in an area that is not being shown (buyers won’t be able to talk freely or feel entirely comfortable with you there)
  • Take any pets with you, rather than keeping them outside, as your buyers will want to tour the backyard freely
  • Keep any valuable items out of sight
